Research & Work
Maysoon’s research investigates the impacts of climate variability and change, and land use and land cover changes (LULCC) on crop production for smallholder crop farming in Gedaref State, Sudan. This research will contribute to increased understanding of climate and LULCC in semi-arid regions. Her findings will also provide essential information on how small-scale farmers can adapt to these changes to minimize risk. This information will help policymakers and planners assess the suitability of options for interventions that reduce the vulnerability of small-scale farmers who are the backbone of Africa’s food production.
