Research & Work
Ngina is an enthusiast for problem-solving using approaches that navigate the nexus between gender and development. Her research seeks to understand existing gender dynamics and how they affect the uptake of new technologies and methodologies in agriculture, like Climate-Smart Agriculture, an approach that aims to develop agricultural strategies that can secure sustainable food security in the face of climate change. Ngina’s research adds to this discourse by recommending sustainable solutions that address existing gender gaps in agriculture. Ngina also works as a Child Protection Officer in Dadaab Refugee Camp, where she helps to ensure that children seeking asylum in Kenya live a dignified life.
