Diddi’s PhD thesis is in Volcanology. She holds an MSc in Lithospheric Transfers and Mineral Resources from the University of Maroua in Cameroon. A Teacher at Government High School Ouro Tchédé, she is currently in her fourth year of PhD studies at the University of Maroua in Maroua, Cameroon, and is expected to complete her doctorate in 2025.

Research Summary
Diddi’s research explores the petrology and geochemistry of volcanic formations in Roumsou and surrounding areas on the Kapsiki Plateau, located in the northern part of the Cameroon Volcanic Line (CVL). This area has been largely overlooked in previous studies of the CVL. The study aims to address knowledge gaps by analyzing the petrological and geochemical properties of the volcanic rocks, the processes involved in their formation, and their connections to other volcanic regions along the CVL. Through advanced methods, including isotopic research, electron microprobe analysis, and geochronology, the research will shed light on the mantle sources and magma differentiation processes in this under-explored region. This study will contribute to the broader understanding of the tectonic and volcanic evolution of the CVL, providing valuable insights into the geodynamic context of volcanic activity in the region.
