Course Description

This MicroCourse was developed exclusively for the MLEx Fellowship Programme by Dr. Tedd Moya. He is a lawyer, academic, consultant, and entrepreneur with expertise in energy, environment, technology, and sustainability. He advises on legal issues related to renewable energy, climate change, and sustainable development.

Climate change is a critical global challenge that undermines human life and the organic infrastructure supporting all life on Earth. Addressing this issue requires collaboration across academic disciplines, sectors, institutions, and countries, as no single entity can solve it alone. This course emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary research in tackling climate challenges, highlighting how different academic fields contribute to understanding and solving these issues.

The course is composed of the following lessons:

  1. The Role of Research in Climate Action
  2. Integrating Climate Considerations into Research Design
  3. Climate, policy, and society – Live Event
  4. Multi-disciplinary perspectives, diversity, and gender – Live Event

There will be two modules (all available on-demand) supported by two live sessions where Fellows will have a chance to bring diverse perspectives to the discussions, as climate change impacts many facets of society.
